Hume Global Learning Centre, Sunbury Cultural Commissions
CAST and the Art in Public Space program are pleased to present the Sunbury HGLC Public Art Laboratory with the City of Hume, engaging local artists living and working in Sunbury in a site and subject specific approach to art practice in the public realm.
Three laboratories have been designed to engage participating artists in research, conceptual development, methods and delivery of public art practice. Scheduled across four months in early 2019, the laboratories will see works developed in response to the George Evans Collection and curated as the inaugural exhibition for the new Hume Global Learning Centre in Sunbury.
The laboratories will be run by Fiona Hillary and Heather Hesterman, both practicing artists and RMIT School of Art lecturers.
